CPI Holds First Tripartite Emergency Response Drill with Shanghai MSA and Gentco Logistics
On 30 June 2026, the China Shipowners Mutual Assurance Association (China P&I Club), together with its Member Gentco Logistics and the Shanghai MSA, conducted the first tripartite tabletop exercise at Gentco’s office, simulating a chemical tanker incident scenario.
The exercise brought together the vessel’s crew, Gentco’s shore-based team, the maritime authority and China P&I Club — with all parties working through the simulated scenario in a single room.
Two key takeaways emerged from the on-site review by MSA officials and CPI loss prevention experts: timely reporting and evidence preservation.
Gentco expressed appreciation for the loss prevention service provided by CPI, noting that multi-party, multi-dimensional collaboration is what makes a safety management system truly resilient.
