On 15 November afternoon, the CPI Board Director, the President and Board Director of China Merchants Energy Shipping Co., Ltd., Mr. Xie Chunlin, paid a courtesy visit to the Association’s London based service center CPI Services (UK) Ltd. and met with the General Manager Mr. Cao Shufeng. Both parties exchanged views on some hot topics of common concern. Mr. Gary Chen of North of England P&I (China) accompanied Mr. Xie and was also in attendance of the business meeting.

Mr. Cao Shufeng, General Manager of CPI Services (UK) Ltd., briefly introduced the developments of the Association’s London based service center since its establishment, and stressed that the London office will continue to strengthen its local presence and combine all advantageous industry resources in order to provide better service for all members, particularly staff training. Mr. Xie Chunlin fully acknowledged the London office’s functions and achievements in terms of providing legal advice and member training, while raising some issues and proposals, and ended his visit by giving valuable advice for the future developments of the London office.

CPI Services (UK) Ltd., established in April 2017, is the Association’s window in London — the center of international shipping and maritime insurance, which focuses on improving the Association’s exchange and communication with the IG and its member P&I Clubs, while committed to providing members with overseas (Europe and Africa in particular) timely response to as well as various legal support and services for emergent cases.
