General Manager, Underwriting Department

QIAO Qing (Forrest)

Mr. QIAO Qing (Forrest), Member of Underwriting Committee, Member of Claims Committee, Member of Marketing & Membership Committee, General Manager of Underwriting Department. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English and a Master’s Degree in Maritime Law from Shanghai Maritime University. He is an external mentor of Shanghai Maritime University School of Law. He worked as a supervisor for a famous shipowner company and a manager for a well-known insurance broker. He joined CPI in July 2016, and was appointed in the current positions in May 2020. He is mainly responsible for P&I and other relevant business.

JIANG Zhichao (Cruise)

Mr. JIANG Zhichao (Cruise), Deputy General Manager of Underwriting Department. He obtained an LL.B. Degree in Maritime Law from Shanghai Maritime University in July 2001 and attended training programs on leadership at Cornell University Johnson School and City University of Hong Kong respectively. He worked for more than fifteen years as the Manager of Insurance & Claims Department in China Shipping Container Lines and then worked as Manager in COSCO Shipping Lines Co., Ltd, Assist President in HNA Marine Shipping Co., Ltd, and Vice President of Marine Practice in Marsh China. He joined CPI in August 2019. Appointed as Deputy General Manager in April 2020, he supports and serves local Members particularly in North and East China in terms of P&I, TCL and FDD underwriting business.

Assistant General Manager, Underwriting Department

MEI Qian (Macy)

Ms. MEI Qian, Assistant General Manager of Underwriting Department. She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree of Engineering in Transport Planning and Management from Wuhan University of Technology in June 2007 and a Master’s Degree of Engineering in Transportation from Shanghai Maritime University in June 2010. She attended training programs of IG Club in UK, Reinsurance in Hong Kong, and Marian & Energy Insurance in Singapore. She joined CPI in July 2010 and started to serve as Underwriting Assistant and then Assistant General Manager. She is now responsible for underwriting of P&I, Charter’s, FD&D and relevant services for members.

Assistant General Manager, Underwriting Department

TONG Jianqiang (Jason)

Mr. TONG Jianqiang (Jason), Assistant General Manager of Underwriting Department. He graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering. He has always worked in marine-related industries having started his career as Hull Underwriter, and has been promoted as Senior Marine Underwriter in reputable property and casualty insurance companies. He joined CPI in November 2020, and is responsible for the collection of marketing information, business development of P&I, TCL, and FDD, and arrangement of underwriting and reinsurance.

LIU Jun

Ms. LIU Jun, Senior Underwriting Manager of Underwriting Department. She studied Law in Peking University. She joined CPI in 1996 and started to serve as Underwriting Assistant. She mainly provides underwriting service for members in South China region.

Senior Underwriting Manager

LUAN Yuying

Ms. LUAN Yuying, Senior Underwriting Manager of Underwriting Department. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English and an LL.M. Degree in International Law from the University of International Business and Economics. She joined CPI in August 2006, and has worked as Deputy Underwriter in Hull Department from 2006 to 2017 and in Underwriting Department since February 2017. Presently she is responsible for underwriting services for members in East China.

Underwriting Assistant

LI Kaixin (Edward)

Mr. LI Kaixin, Underwriting Assistant. He graduated from Shanghai International Studies University and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish from the School of European and Latin-American Studies in June 2018 and a Master’s Degree in Spanish Interpretation from GIIT in April 2021. He was sponsored by China Scholarship Council (CSC) to study business administration in the University of Alcala in 2016. He holds various PRC Translation Qualification Certificates including CATTI Level-1 Spanish Interpretation, CATTI Level-2 Spanish Translation, CATTI Level-2 English Translation and Interpretation. He joined CPI in May 2021, and is responsible for P&I Underwriting support, sanction compliance and underwriting terms translation.
