Dr. Song Chunfeng, the Managing Director of the Association, was invited as a keynote speaker to attend the first Unimex Forum held on 17 August at the National University of Singapore. In the session, Dr. Song Chunfeng delivered keynote speech, addressing a number issues regarding P&I Insurance and its evolution. He particularly stressed that CPI, as one of the two Asian P&I Clubs, is committed to providing better insurance solutions to the shipping community and thus, will continue to strengthen its presence in Singapore. 

Dr. Song Chunfeng discussed in depth on a number of hot issues, like Blockchain, big data, Cyber Security, etc., with fellow keynote speakers Mr. Yan Xiankai – the founder of Unimex, Mr. Huang Youfang the President of Shanghai Maritime University, Mr. Tan Youquan, Managing Director of China Merchants Energy Shipping Co., Ltd. (Singapore).  Mr. Chen Tak Yam, Board Director of the Association, General Manager of Cheng Xin Ship Management Pte. Ltd. attended the forum.

During the Roundtable Discussion, Dr. Song shared his knowledge and experience with the young generation, gave them honest advice on choosing career paths, and expressed his opinion on the impact the current US-China Trade Disputes has had on the shipping community and marine insurance industry.
