On the morning of 28 August, CPI and Shanghai Shipping Exchange (SSE) hosted the signing ceremony for “Framework Agreement for Developing High-End Shipping Services” at the CPI headquarters in Shanghai. Shanghai Municipal Transport Commission Shipping Division Deputy Director Ms. Jing Yan, Shanghai Municipal Hongkou District Investment Promotion Office Deputy Director Ms. Shen Lan, CPI Managing Director Dr. Song Chunfeng, SSE President Mr. Zhang Ye along with other distinguished guests attended the event.

Dr. Song Chunfeng expressed his respect and gratitude for the governing bodies of Shanghai City and Hongkou District as well as SSE in his address. Dr. Song Chunfeng pointed out that CPI and SSE are both located at the Shanghai International Shipping Service Centre in the North Bund Area, therefore we are good neighbours; both aim to serve the shipping industry with respective advantages and specialties, therefore we are good friends. By signing the agreement, we will concentrate our minds and combine our advantages to better serve members, further propel the development of high-end shipping service industry, and form a strong synergy to promote the construction of Shanghai International Shipping Center.

President Mr. Zhang Ye expressed in his address that SSE and CPI both carry the weight of developing high-end shipping services and building China’s strength in transportation. SSE and CPI will seamlessly combine respective advantages and initiate close cooperation in multiple areas on the grounds of trust. There are many highlights of this mutual cooperation, and SSE is extremely optimistic about the future of this relationship.

Following the addresses, CPI Deputy Managing Director Mr. Gong Xiqian and SSE Vice President Mr. Yao Weifu represented each party to sign the agreement, which provided main points of strategic cooperation in areas of promoting industry development, deepening business exchanges, as well as strengthening publicity and promotion.
