CPI Hosts the 2018 Dalian Branch Business Seminar

On Friday, 30 November in the afternoon, CPI hosted the 2018 Dalian Branch Business Seminar in Dalian City, Liaoning Province. Attendees include Dalian Sea Carrier Co., Ltd. Deputy General Manager Mr. Guo Dahai, Dalian Chun An Ship Management Co., Ltd. Deputy General Manager Mr. Wang Liang, Dalian Maritime University State-Owned Assets and Labs Management Office Head Mr. Li Guojin, representatives of other regional members and potential members, as well as relevant personnel of CPI. Dalian Maritime Court Judge Cheng Xin, Liaoning MSA Division of Navigation Safety Chief Mr. Guo Ning and CPI Loss Prevention Department Captain Wang Yong were invited to give special lectures to the attendees.


During the seminar, CPI Deputy Managing Director Mr. Gong Xiqian briefed on the Association’s recent developments and core values of service to the audience, and expressed his deepest gratitude to members’ trust and support over the years. In the ensuing lectures segment, Division Chief Mr. Guo Ning shared in depth about the latest news regarding maritime investigation, which included accident investigation as well as transfer of accidents to judicial organs for criminal liability. Captain Wang Yong presented on the topic of navigation safety combined with CPI’s past case handling experience, and provided various practical loss prevention advice to members. Judge Cheng Xin focused on judicial settlement when ships accidentally enter aquaculture zones, and elaborated on three main points: investigation, response to ship detainment, and solutions of disputes.


The audience and speakers discussed in great lengths on hot topics in the industry, and agreed that this seminar and the topics discussed are both forward-thinking and inspirational. Attendees expressed their hopes that CPI would continue to provide more platforms that focus on industry trends and cater to members’ needs to propel the exchange of ideas. CPI Dalian Branch General Manager Mr. Felix Guo said that the Dalian Branch, CPI’s window in North-East China,  will continue to provide excellent claims handling and loss prevention service,  help members improve risk control in their operations, as well as upgrade its soft power in all aspects.
