Professors from Four Universities in Beijing and Shanghai Attends CPI Exchange Seminar
In the afternoon of 20 December, Professors from four universities in Beijing and Shanghai visited CPI and attended the exchange seminar hosted by CPI Deputy Managing Director Mr. Gong Xiqian. During the seminar, attendees discussed in depth about P&I insurance and P&I Clubs, CPI’s business developments, talent acquisition and training as well as means to assist in Shanghai’s construction into “Two Centers”. Six professors attended the seminar, including Professor Tao Cunwen from the Central University of Finance and Economics’ School of Insurance, Director of the Insurance Research Institute Professor Wang Xujin from Beijing Technology and Business University, Insurance Department Head Professor Zhong Ming from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics’ School of Finance, Assistant Professor Jiang Ying from East China University of Political Science and Law’s School of International Finance and Law.
Deputy Managing Director Mr. Gong Xiqian welcomed the Professors for their visit to CPI. During the closing segment of the seminar, Mr. Gong expressed his gratitude for the Professors’ keen interest in CPI’s developments and the impressive results this exchange seminar achieved. Mr. Gong believes that this exchange seminar will deepen the finance and insurance academia’s understanding of P&I insurance, P&I clubs and CPI, as well as provide more opportunities for cooperation in the field of P&I research and personnel training.
Professors in attendance of the seminar gave high remarks to CPI’s developments and achievements, and unilaterally agreed on the important role P&I insurance and P&I Clubs play in the construction of Shanghai into “Two Centers”, and promised that they will continue to track CPI’s developments, broaden research topics, and further expand the scope of the exchanges and cooperation with CPI.
