12 July in the morning, Head of the Maritime Commerce Tribunal of Shanghai Maritime Court Mr. Xie Zhenxian, Presiding Judge Ms. Yang Chan, Assistant Judge Mr. Wang Huanjin and Assistant Judge Mr. Xie Yizhou visited CPI. CPI Deputy Managing Director Mr. Gong Xiqian and relevant CPI staff members exchanged their views on scholarly topics with the entourage.

CPI Deputy Managing Director Mr. Gong Xiqian warmly welcomed Mr. Xie and his colleagues, followed by an introduction of the various workshops that CPI provides its staff with, covering areas of underwriting service, internal exchange, learning opportunities, claims handling and dedicated loss prevention service. Mr. Gong complimented the professional and innovative approach of the Maritime Commerce Tribunal of Shanghai Maritime Court, and believes this exchange will serve as the start of a great relationship between both parties. Mr. Gong hopes that both parties could increase scholarly exchange and work together to improve China’s influence and voice in the international marine industry.

Mr. Xie Zhenxian highly praised the achievements of CPI through the course of its development, the dedication and professionalism of CPI’s team, as well as the claims team’s keen perception on the analysis of scholarly topics on their fields of expertise and their quick response to emergent situations, especially the extraordinary skills shown by young members on the team. Mr. Xie said that the maritime courts in China acknowledge Letters of Guarantee issued by CPI. The Maritime Tribunal of Shanghai Maritime Court hopes that there will be more opportunities in the future for scholarly exchanges in order to improve case handling ability in real-life scenarios, and further enhance case assessment in order to collectively push forward the development of the shipping industry in China.
