Notice on Collecting Legal Problems regarding COVID-19
With the outbreak of the new coronavirus and an increasing number of control measures taken by authorities, economic activities, especially shipping and international trade, are suffering from great impacts. The industry urgently needs legal and practical insights on disputes arising from the current situation.
In order to assist our members in reasonably arranging the performance of contracts and charterparties and preparing for potential disputes, China P&I Club together with China Maritime Arbitration Commission will rely on the professional knowledge of arbitrators and experts and strive to build a platform for communication and problem-solving for the shipping industry and legal profession.
At present, as one of our actions to counter the pandemic, we are collecting the most pressing problems to be clarified and solved in the current practice. We will give prompt response after seeking advice from the arbitrators and other law experts. Articles addressing the most frequently asked questions will be published on our website and WeChat official account for members’ reference.
Meanwhile, members are welcomed to contribute, regardless of topics and forms, if they wish to share different perspectives on legal issues and dispute coping strategies. Articles of practical significance will also be published online. We believe the temporary difficulties will be overcome by gathering wisdom from all parties.
