On Thursday, 14 September, CPI Managing Director Dr. Song Chunfeng led a visit to the International Group of P&I Clubs (IG) in London, UK and met with the CEO Mr. Nick Shaw.

Mr. Nick Shaw welcomed Dr. Song and the team and extended his gratitude to the Association for all the work together. He recognised the Association’s ethics which values efficiency and reliability and spoke highly of the cooperation between the two parties in recent years.

Dr. Song Chunfeng expressed appreciation to the IG for its support throughout the years. He said that CPI would continue to partner with the IG to better serve its Members. He hopes to deepen cooperation with the IG especially in areas of loss prevention and talent development to create a win-win situation that could eventually lead to improved Member service.

Both parties shared insights on key international marine insurance topics such as the Chinese shipping market, international maritime regulations, loss prevention service with social media platforms, and carriage of dangerous goods.

The team also paid a visit to the IG Chair Mr. Andrew Cutler. CPI Special Advisor Dr. Wu Chao, Director of Hull Committee & General Manager of Hull Department Mr. Chen Zhigao, General Manager of Underwriting Department Mr. Qiao Qing, and CPI Services (UK) Ltd. General Manager Mr. Cao Shufeng were also in attendance.
