    ZHOU Yousheng (Peter)

    Mr. ZHOU Yousheng (Peter Y. S. ZHOU), Director of Claims Committee, Member of Marketing & Membership Committee, General Manager of Claims Department I. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in International Maritime Law from Dalian Maritime University in July 1994 and an LL.M. Degree in Maritime Law from University of London in July 2005. He holds a PRC Legal Professional Qualification Certificate. He is the Expert of International Maritime Judicial Base in Zhejiang of The Supreme People’s Court, Member of the Ship Insurance and Liability Committee (SILC) of Asian Shipowners’ Association, Deputy Director of the Ship Pollution Prevention Committee of China Diving & Salvage Contractors Association, and Senior Researcher of International Maritime Arbitration Centra of China Academy of Arbitration Law. Mr. ZHOU joined CPI in August 1994 and served as Deputy Director of Claims Department, Claims Supervisor of Claims Department, Director of Claims Department and General Manager of FDD & TCL Department. Appointed as the current positions in May 2020, he is responsible for the general management of the committee and department.

    CHEN Zhigao

    Mr. CHEN Zhigao, Director of Hull Committee, Member of Claim Committee, Member of Marketing & Membership Committee, General Manager of Hull Department. He obtained an LL.B. Degree in International Law (Maritime Law) from Shanghai Maritime University in July 2000 and an MBA Degree from Guanghua School of Management, Peking University in July 2012. He holds a PRC Legal Professional Qualification Certificate. He joined CPI in July 2000 worked as an executive of Underwriting Department, deputy syndicate manager, syndicate manager, and deputy manager of Hull Department. Appointed general manager of Hull Department in September 2017 and director of Hull Committee in 2023, he is responsible for daily operation of H&M insurance.

    CAO Hanzhen

    Mr. CAO Hanzhen, Member of Claims Committee, General Manager of FDD & TCL Department. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree of Engineering in Maritime Law from Dalian Maritime University in July 1996. He worked in COSCO Dalian for 17 years with the extensive experience in handling various disputes due to the vessels of tanker, LPG and bulk chemical tanker, and then worked as Manager of Shipping Department in Chinese-Tanzanian Joint Shipping Company from 2013 to 2017. He joined CPI in April 2017, and appointed as General Manager of FDD & TCL Department in May 2020, he is in accordance with the relevant claims procedures and regulations of CPI, handling P&I, FD&D and TCL cases and inquires.

    QIAO Qing (Forrest)

    Mr. QIAO Qing (Forrest), Member of Underwriting Committee, Member of Claims Committee, Member of Marketing & Membership Committee, General Manager of Underwriting Department. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English and a Master’s Degree in Maritime Law from Shanghai Maritime University. He is an external mentor of Shanghai Maritime University School of Law. He worked as a supervisor for a famous shipowner company and a manager for a well-known insurance broker. He joined CPI in July 2016, and was appointed in the current positions in May 2020. He is mainly responsible for P&I and other relevant business.


  • Consultant, Claims Committee

    ZHANG Junqi (James)

    Mr. ZHANG Junqi (James), Consultant of Claims Committee, Member of Marketing & Membership Committee, General Manager of Qingdao Branch. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in International Shipping from Shanghai Maritime University. He previously worked in the Shipping Department of COSCO Dalian Ocean Shipping and other shipping companies gaining experience in shipping practices including the conclusion of charter party terms and conditions, the settlement of contract disputes, and the command and dispatch of ships. He joined CPI in June 2020 and now serves as the General Manager of Qingdao branch.
